Inserts

Tiger·Tec Gold WKP01G and WPP05G Grades

Both WKP01G and WPP05G grades are ideal for continuous cutting and occasional interrupted cuts in high tensile materials (approx. 280-410 HB or 130-200 ksi). Ideal applications include large-scale production of components for the automotive and energy industries, such as gearboxes, gears and rotor hubs, as well as forged shafts for general mechanical engineering and wheel sets for the rail industry.

PR18 Series Milling Inserts

The PR18 Series incorporates proprietary MEGACOAT NANO EX coating technology, setting a new standard for wear resistance and durability. By using a unique double lamination technique with special nano multi- layers for abrasion, wear, and heat resistance, this coating surpasses conventional grades, delivering superior performance and extending the lifespan of the tools.

DX200 Grade

DX200 directly binds the diamond particles without using binder materials. This allows the grade to have an extremely pure cutting edge, making it an extremely effective tool for machining application-specific components that demand high levels of material purity, such as metal medical implants and sputtering targets for semiconductor applications.

Versatile Face Milling Inserts

The global manufacturer has added five variants of square shaped positive inserts for depths of cut up to 6.4 mm to its Pramet brand. The range is suitable for a variety of general engineering and maintenance and repair operations (MRO) machining, with several application-specific geometries and grades available for machining any workpiece material.

WL17 Indexable Insert

The inserts feature three cutting edges at a 50° copying angle. Compared to the WL25 indexable inserts, which measure 25 mm per side, the WL17 inserts measure 17 mm per side. The WL25 inserts are now additionally offered in W0110-C Walter Capto tools and the W1211 QuadFit exchangeable head for Accure.tec anti-vibration boring bars.

Expanded Diameter and Corner Radius in Tungaloy-NTK’s DoMultiRec

DoMultiRec multifunctional milling cutter with center cutting capability enables a single tool to perform multiple milling operations, including shouldering, pocketing and drilling. A uniquely designed insert integrates a center and peripheral cutting edge on one side of the insert; the same insert can be used either for the center or peripheral position for up to four indexings per insert.

HM Geometry

The HM geometry has a highly negative and narrow T-land, as well as a positive rake to reduce vibration and enable a smoother cutting action. Together, these improve the durability and process security, prolonging tool life in the relevant materials by up to 50%, compared to the existing assortment.
