Inserts

ISO-EcoTurn Inserts

ISO-EcoTurn inserts, while downsized for tool economy, incorporate the identical chipbreaker geometry and thickness of regular sized inserts to maintain the same cutting performance at a depth of cut up to 3.0 mm (0.12"). This expansion provides more cost efficient solutions in steel turning applications.

AH6225 PVD Grade Insert

A thick titanium-rich PVD coating with excellent thermal stability has been developed specifically for AH62225. This coating effectively prevents crater wear from developing on the insert rake surface. The grade’s top layer incorporates the latest titanium-rich nano-multilayer structure; its high-density crystal orientation enhances the grade’s hardness for superior wear resistance.

Cut DX18 Inserts

This innovative insert seating substantially eliminates the tendency for vibrations, increasing insert life as well as tool holder life. The design also prevents incorrect engagement, especially for narrow insert widths, and enables an extremely high indexing accuracy. Elevated protective edge is an inbuilt feature of these DX18 carbide inserts that protects the clamping finger of the tool holder from chip-wash and acts as an additional chip breaker; further enhancing tool life and process reliability.

T-A Pro High Penetration Drilling System

As the most recent addition to the T-A Pro high-penetration drilling system, this insert demonstrates that the best just keeps getting better. Not only are the faster penetration rates maintained, but in using the redesigned body of the T-A Pro, maximum coolant flow and excellent rigidity are also present when utilizing the high-speed steel geometry. This offers machine shops and manufacturers a spade drill that operates at incredible speeds and a cost per hole that averages 25% less than other existing drills.

MS Geometry Insert

The drill´s »X»-shaped pocket, and tapered seat provide stability in challenging applications while making it easy to change out the insert without disassembling the body from the holder. These key design features reduce unstable cutting conditions experienced with other drills commonly available in the market today, while enabling higher penetration rates and reducing overall machine set up times and costs.

SuperTurnZ

It represents a highly productive alternative to conventional turning where 80° & 35° corner inserts are fed in the same direction, and instead utilizes all 4 directions available on conventional 2 axis lathe (+Z, -Z, +X, -X) to maximize material removal.  The double-sided positive SuperTurnZ inserts have the same axial & radial rake angle and capability as standard ISO positive inserts, allowing for low cutting forces, but with double the cutting edges and much higher feed rate capabilities.

W-1011-P/WL25 Copy Turn System

With this new tool, V or D-style inserts with just two cutting edges and lower stability (ISO VBMT, VCMT, DCMT) are replaced with triangular cutting inserts with three cutting edges and high stability. These three-edged inserts allow for a 50° undercut angle, ideal for profiling operations. Since the insert shape enables turning both towards as well as away from the spindle, both cutting edges of the insert get utilized, substantially increasing the tool life. Additionally, with the chip thinning calculations, substantially higher feeds can be achieved, especially when the insert is feeding away from spindle.

GC4415 and GC4425 Steel Turning Grades

To increase their use for steel turning applications across the automotive, energy and general engineering sectors, the upgrade includes more insert shapes for each grade. Having access to the correct insert shape is vital for effective finishing and roughing operations, and the insert shape should be selected relative to the entering angle accessibility required of the tool.
