Another important feature in the latest release of the software is the New Part centering/probing function, which generates pointset nodes for any inspection machine or direct CNC part inspection on a milling machine. Additionally, a new Probe Inspect command creates and exports control points in the CAM project to feed a probing system. There are also specific improvements to part centering tailored for CNC machines with table palletization. 

NCSIMUL virtually builds the real-life machining environment to avoid errors, decrease set-up times and switch CNC programs between machines. 

The 2021 release features a new comparison mode that detects excessive material during a fast and hidden simulation. It shows a solid comparison between the CAD/CAM models or previous cut stock and the NCSIMUL simulated model.  

Rollomatic has developed a process that allows sharpening of thick‐film diamond coated cutting tools. The Rollomatic CNC La‐ ser Cutting Machine LaserSmart incorporates technologies that facilitate the probing the surface of the coated cutting edge to detect the exact shape and position. Then the laser cutting process will remove just enough diamond coating to make the cut‐ ting edge sharp. Only a predetermined amount of the coating, just around the cutting edge, is removed by the laser process.

The DeHoff 3060 has a single spindle with a maximum boring capacity of 3 inches (76.2 mm) and a maximum boring depth of 60 inches (1524 mm). To meet the rigorous material removal requirements, the cutting tool is powered by a 40 horsepower spindle motor with a 4-speed gearbox. A totally custom workpiece loading and fixturing system was designed specifically for the customer’s unique part. The machine features Beckhoff CNC controls with G-Code programming capability.

Beaumont Machine has been working on answers for focusing on the ability to work Realtime with its power supply to control interconnection and closed-loop features.  Doing so aids in delivering a better overall quality for the process. Other features that improve with the Reaaltime process such as micro-pulse technology, breakthrough hole-start technology and blind hole drilling all benefit from this better interconnection between the power supply and control

The new system also ensures constant measurement accuracy with the shortest possible measuring times. Once the measurements are taken, feedback is directed right back to the machine’s CNC control unit, allowing tool corrections to be made automatically and immediately during the machining process.

The GD8 geometry has been specifically developed for grooving along the shoulders and grooving of large diameters without interference of the insert with the finished workpiece. The VG8 geometry has been developed for finishing operations behind a collar.
