Thread Gages

March 01, 2014

OSG Tap & Die's thread gage series is now offered with the NIST traceable gage certification option. All of OSG's thread gages comply with the ANSI manufacturing standards. Short form (certificate of conformance) ships with all standard gage sets at no extra cost. Long form (certificate of calibration) is available upon request at a fee for a standard GO/NO GO gage set and can be shipped within 24 hours. Standard size inch and metric gage sets are stocked locally to provide users with improved lead times for better productivity.

Thread limit gages are designed to inspect the pitch diameter and the functional thread for internal threaded products. Thread limit gages consist of GO and NO GO gages. GO gages should be screwed in and passed through by hand without difficulty. NO GO gages should not be screwed in by more than two revolutions.

OSG's thread gages are manufactured from premium high speed steels and are hardened to 64 HRC for superior wear resistance. All gages are sold as GO/NO GO sets with handles and are available in standard 2B and 6H classes of fit.
