The presses have four slot positions and feature a removeable machine steel anvil to provide accurate work support. For added versatility, punches or other tools may be added to the end of the ram by using a magnetic insert.  The ram is reversible. One end is solid and the other end has a hole and magnet to hold bits and pieces. A three-piece bit set and a removable steel anvil are standard on all presses.

The X-86m2 series in the ultra-compact M.2 2242 form factor and the CFast™ card F-86 show off their full performance capabilities, especially as robust boot and application drives, and set themselves apart with a perfectly coordinated feature set. The key highlights are a high-quality 3D-NAND in pSLC mode, a SATA NAND flash controller specially developed for industrial requirements without additional DRAM, and fully optimized proprietary firmware. This makes both series the optimal storage solution for embedded systems and industrial applications, as well as for network devices where durability, system reliability and safety from power failure are imperative.

TapRite V’s advanced formulation provides many benefits to metalworkers. It has excellent wetting properties with a strong affinity to metal surfaces, allowing the fluid to migrate to the workpiece / tool interface faster than similar products. Its exceptional flowability improves handling as well as simplifying the operator’s task by flowing into hard-to-reach crevices during the cut. TapRite V is heat-activated, providing extreme pressure performance to protect tools and workpieces where the cut generates high heat.

The DDHM system is aimed primarily at customers in the tool and die-making industries. The focus is on machining carbide punches and dies efficiently. The tool system also offers significant advantages in other areas such as the medical and aerospace sectors, the automotive industry, and punching, forging and forming technology. The diamond tools enable shorter throughput times, high surface quality, lower overall costs, greater flexibility within the production process and longer tool life. The drills can be used for producing holes in solid material to a maximum depth of ten times the diameter. The CVD-D tipped drills have a two-edged design and are available in diameters ranging from 2 mm (0.079”) to 10 mm (0.394”). All versions boast internal channels for cooling with air.

The compact, durable design produces a beam deflection angle to 8° in theta-X and theta-Y, with symmetrical motion characteristics delivered by its parallel kinematics design. The angular resolution of the standard model is 1µrad (higher resolution models are available). The two orthogonal tip/tilt axes share a common center of rotation, providing significantly better performance, free of polarization rotation issues, while reducing package size, compared to older designs based on stacking two individual scanning axes.

The machine is built on a Romi-made monoblock base and has a net weight of 20,300 lbs. It features linear roller guides for the X, Y, and Z axes and direct rotary encoders for the B and C axes. This combination reduces vibration and produces high rigidity and precision. The DCM 620-5X Hybrid also features a 40 big-plus taper direct-drive spindle capable of 15-15,000 rpm, a 24 hp motor, a 24" x 20" x 18.1" table (X, Y, Z), and a 30-tool automatic tool changer. It is equipped with a Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl CNC that features a 19" touch screen.

The TMX Series consists of two models: the TMX 7510 and TMX 6410. The TMX 7510 reaches 76,000 frames per second (fps) at full 1-megapixel (mpx) resolution (1280 x 800). It also achieves over 300,000 fps at 1280 x 192 and over 770,000 fps at reduced resolutions. With the export-controlled FAST option, the TMX 7510 can hit a blistering 1.75 million fps with a 95-nanosecond (ns) minimum exposure time, eliminating motion blur and enabling precise motion analysis.

Cutting diameter sizes range from 1/8" to 1/2". Included angle options are 90° or 120°. The two-flute design is optimal when chip evacuation and increased chip per tooth are the priority. For harder materials, the fortified strength of the four-flute design performs best and allows for increased feed rates in hard materials. Items are stocked uncoated or AlTiN coated. AlTiN coating is highly recommended for longevity and high-speed applications.

Smaller thread size port tools are three flutes and larger thread size port tools are four flutes. 1179 port tools have a polished flute face for the best performance. Items are stocked uncoated or AlTiN coated. AlTiN coating is highly recommended if cutting steel as the coating prevents the chip from sticking to the carbide. Additionally, AlTiN coating improves tool life and allows the tool to achieve a high-quality finish.

Both grinding spindles are “synchronous direct‐drive spindles” with 19 hp peak each. The most important feature of a synchronous motor is that it provides constant speed during its operation and that the torque curve is highly efficient, as per above graph. The rotational force is not reduced with higher RPM’s. Synchronous motors always run at a speed equal to their synchronous speed, as opposed to asynchronous motors (induction motors) which always have a lag and are therefore less efficient.
