Weiler Abrasives Group has announced a new product in its Tiger bonded abrasives lineup. The new Tiger UltraCut thin cutting wheels deliver fast cuts, long wheel life and consistent performance—with a true 1mm thickness.

Niagara Cutter, a subsidiary of Seco Tools LLC, launched its new Niagara Cutter Stabilizer 2.0 next-generation family of endmills. The Stabilizer 2.0 cutters incorporate patented continuous variable asymmetrical geometries and provide incredibly smooth and chatter-free performance that allows feed rates to be doubled as compared with previous models.

Mil-Tec Inc. says its HV5HD series endmills are ideal for machine shops and other manufacturing facilities that require flexibility and value. With a full range of cutter bodies and precision-ground carbide inserts, the tools can reportedly handle any application and material.

Cast iron drilling has taken a significant step forward with an expanded insert range for new diameters in the high-speed Color Select P6005-WKK45C grade for Xtra·tec B401x point drills. These new inserts are available in diameters up to 1.50 in. (37.99 mm). With this expansion, the grade specially developed by Walter for machining cast iron can now be used to drill all holes from 0.47 to 1.50 in. (12 to 37.99 mm) in diameter at depths up to 7×Dc and holes from 0.71 to 1.02 in. (18 to 25.80 mm) in diameter at hole depths up to 10×Dc.

Arno Werkzeuge USA announced the introduction of its SA series of cutting tools and inserts for grooving and part-off or cut-off operations for North America. The SA system from Arno USA is a modular grooving system with a single toolholder, which turns into different tool variants by simply changing the support blade and clamp.

Tungsten ToolWorks offers seven micro-endmill geometries in an “infinite” variety of diameters, lengths, end conditions and coatings, including diamond, based on customer inputs. Cutting diameters as small as 0.005" (0.127mm) can be configured from an array of fractional or metric carbide blanks.
