At IMTS 2022, HEIDENHAIN will be entering a new chapter in shop-floor-centered manufacturing by unveiling the new TNC7 in North America (Booth #135716). This standard-setting CNC control supports users from initial design to final machining, from one-off jobs to serial production, and from simple slots to complex contours.

Positioned upstream from an eddy current separator, the high-strength Dynamic Pulley Separator uses a Rare Earth permanent magnet pulley rotating at an off-set speed from the belt, creating an agitating magnetic field. The ModuleWorks optics kernel has been developed to meet the growing demand for machining increasingly complex free-form geometries with a precision in the nm range. Integrated into the LT CAM product line, it enables LT Ultra to offer flexible solutions for a diverse range of ultra-precision machining applications with automatic toolpath calculation from point clouds, CAD models and analytical functions as well as corrections based on real measurement data.

The data in the Surface Library was generated using a variety of areal (3D) measurement instruments. The data is in .os3d format, the native file format for Digital Metrology’s OmniSurf3D surface texture software. Each dataset includes hints for analyzing the data within OmniSurf3D. A free 10-day trial version of the software is available separately. The .os3d file format description is also freely available on the website for those who wish to analyze the data with their own mathematical tools.

For proper material preparation The KBC Pneumatic Hand Chamfering Tool allows you to remove burrs easily and quickly to create a uniform edge with repeatable accuracy up to almost 1mm depth, prepare metal for welding jobs and clean them up after, and a host of other needs in the machine shop or on site.  The bearing runs along the edge of the surface while two carbide inserts chamfer the edge for smooth results.  (Replacement standard triangular tip carbide inserts, TCMT-09T3, are available.)

Squich HNM (High Number of Mating) inserts are designed to maximize ease of use while minimizing maintenance downtime.
