ANCA has designed a special dental drill loading kit including tailored RoboMate pallets for FX machines using a Fanuc 200iD robot loader. The pallet top allows a reduction of the insertion depth of the shank with an 8mm pocket depth, so that drills with only 10mm of available shank length can be loaded. The robot grippers have also been modified for the reduced thickness of medical tools. The medical gripper can accommodate Ø2-10mm x 100mm with a maximum head diameter of 14mm.

MERLIC 5.1 includes a new tool for optical character recognition that is based on HALCON’s Deep OCR technology. Compared to other algorithms, this holistic deep-learning-based approach can localize characters much more robustly, regardless of their orientation, font type, polarity, and it requires significantly less parameter tuning. Recognition performance is further increased by the automatic grouping of characters. This allows the identification of whole words and thus reduces the chance of misinterpretation of similar-looking characters. This new tool does not require the Deep Learning Add-On and is therefore already included in the entry level package MERLIC 5.1 S.

Building on the scanner’s advanced color-capture capabilities, the 2022 Leo has algorithms to automatically adjust the brightness level when scanning, providing true-to-life evenly lit color 3D models without the need for manual correction. The new texture optimization algorithm has reduced the size of the texture by 2x, making it faster to process and load data for creating 3D color models.

In a floor space of less than 2.3 sqaure meters (24.8 square feet), the cost-efficient HELITRONIC G 200 offers tool grinding at its best. Grinding and re-sharpening of rotationally symmetrical cutting tools ranging from 1 to 125mm (0.039” to 4.92”) in diameter with a grinding wheel up to 150mm (5.91”) is possible. The HELITRONIC G 200 can accommodate a maximum tool length of 235mm (9.25”) and a tool weight of up to 12 kg (26.45 lbs).

Mencom Hazardous Location Connectors series is designed to meet stringent electrical requirements for protection under Class I Division 2 environments and certified by Underwriters' Laboratories (UL). ‘Class I’ is defined as a hazardous location in which flammable gas or vapor may be present in sufficient quantities to be considered ignitable or explosive. ‘Division 2’ is defined as an area that is not likely to contain dangerous concentrations of flammable substances in closed containers. Common Class I Division 2 hazardous locations include refineries, utility gas plants, coal mines, and liquid-gas storage facilities.

At 19kW, the new high-powered spindle option can enhance productivity further for tools up to 12mm and above. 348 inserts added to stainless steel turning grade series of AH6225, AH6235, and T6215. In addition to the cooling and geometry, Walter's new WJ30RZ and WJ30RY grades also boost performance because their highly wear-resistant TiAlSiN-based layer applied using HIPIMS coating technology takes the form of a complete coating for 3 and 5xDc (WJ30RZ grade) and a point coating for 8×Dc (WJ30RY grade). The 8×Dc version also features a polished flute for deep drilling. The result is a very smooth surface which ensures optimum chip evacuation and minimizes built-up edges.
