There are two types of levers available for the E-Xtreme series enclosures. The standard C-type lever is made of a stainless-steel frame and polyamide handle, and it provides an IP65/IP66 protection degree. The E-Xtreme enclosures with the C-type lever are ideal for environments with salt mist, ultraviolet rays, corrosive chemicals, and frequent mating. The V-type lever is ideal for environments with higher humidity levels, lower temperatures with ice, and salt mist because it provides better waterproofing with IP66/IP67 protection rating thanks to its vertical closing movement. Also, the V-type lever is also more resistant to shocks, fire, and chemicals because the lever is made of full stainless steel without using any plastic components.

And while the new plugin streamlines robotic programming for Mastercam customers, those looking for a standalone solution can simply rely on Robotmaster's integrated CAD/CAM functionality. The software allows customers to import the CAD model for their part and generate toolpaths directly within Robotmaster without the need for separate CAD/CAM software.

Toyoda's FH5000S HMCs with 60-tool ATC capacity are designed for speed and production reliability, featuring a 15,000 RPM, 50 HP (37 kW), 303 Nm (223 ft-lbs.) high acceleration spindle. The 40-taper spindle is designed with four ceramic bearings at the front of the spindle for increased rigidity and reduced vibration. Its patented hydraulic preload system brings the spindle up to 15,000 RPM less than one second without spindle warm-up, ideal for aluminum processing. The larger machines in the FH5000 series are equipped with a 50-taper spindle, 45 tools, and a longer X axis travel.

The tool’s CERATIZIT R84 fine boring indexable inserts feature a brand new reaming geometry specifically designed for exceptional hole finishing. The u-tec patented changing system allows a standard ER output live tool to accept various adapters for different applications. This allows users the ability to have quick changeover of tools on almost any lathe or mill, using a single tool, without having to commit to a quick-change system on the initial purchase.  A facemill adapter, for example, can be quickly positioned into the standard holder, without the need for a new tool purchase.  This significantly reduces inventory costs as well as changeover time for the busy shop.

To cover the widest possible range of applications, Walter offers the MP6 geometry in CCMT, DCMT, TCMT and VBMT basic shapes. A spray with which workpiece dimensions and colour values can be digitised in one scan: AESUB transparent. The workpieces are sprayed uniformly with AESUB transparent from a distance of 15 to 20 centimetres. After just a few seconds, a matt, transparent layer is generated on the workpiece’s surface. In addition to capturing the surface contours, optical scanners can simultaneously capture the colour values of the object being measured.

For multi-axis subtractive machining, there is a new option to preview the automatically detected deburr edges before calculating the toolpath. Today’s MAX System introduces the latest innovation known as Focused Deburring. These multi-axis machines feature up to four 1- to 5-axis heads or towers, which can process simultaneously or in sequence within a single working environment. This ability allows the machines to perform multiple operations on many edges and surfaces of a part at the same time. For example, a single MAX System can remove a protruding burr from an 8” spur gear, create a precision .060” chamfer on both sides of the same gear, and wash the part within 30 seconds.

TC388 Supreme (50–58 RC) and TC389 Supreme (55–65 RC) feature new patent-pending cutting geometries that fully shear off the root of the chip when reversing, thus torque peaks are minimized. This prevents fractures, prolongs the tool life, and increases process reliability. Furthermore, the new taps are coated using Walters new HiPMS coating technology which creates a better surface finish, and higher thread form quality due to this innovative new coating process. Lubrication with oil, which was often necessary until now, is no longer required. Instead, standard water-based emulsions can be used, optimizing handling and saving additional machining costs.
