Hamar Laser’s L-703B Self-Centering Bore Alignment System makes bore alignment easier and up to 75% faster than competing systems. The new L-703B Laser replaces the L-705 Laser for applications where the laser is mounted externally. Smaller and lighter than the L-705, the L-703B works with Hamar Laser’s patented, self-centering targets that require only one measurement per bore. Applications include engine blocks, compressor bores, cylinder bores, shaft bearing bores, stern tubes and more.

The PS2000 variants combine high-performance power supply units from Beckhoff with the ultra-fast EtherCAT communication standard. This allows the control system to directly process extensive measurement data and internal device diagnostics information and establish remote access to power supplies. It also provides advanced monitoring features for the DC output (for system monitoring) or the AC input (for source monitoring).

The unit uses multiple spray nozzles on its circumference, providing a steady and pressurized stream. Each nozzle can be plugged or opened to create customized spray patterns. Added spindle rotation ensures that coolant reaches virtually everywhere inside the machine. Residing in the tool changer, and programmed just as any other, the Jergens Washdown Tool is deployed periodically at scheduled intervals. This automation shortens cleaning time and supports long machining cycles, even lights out manufacturing periods when no operator is present.

Using Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI®) technology, the bubbles protect a variety of metals, including carbon steel, aluminum, copper, brass, silver and stainless steels, without leaving film or residue on packaged items. CorShield® Bubble Bags are non-toxic and recyclable. Components that need  protection are placed in the bags and in matter of hours, the vapor from the VpCI® bubbles saturates the enclosed airspace.

The down-thrust clamp GN 9192 made from case-hardened steel can be fastened to a machine table with T-slots or to a fixture plate. The clamping arm can then be swiveled by hand and positioned over the inserted workpiece in any position. Turning and tightening the clamping screw or the adjustable hand lever lowers the clamping arm to hold the workpiece in place. After release, workpieces can be removed again from above just as quickly and easily once the clamping arm has been swiveled to the side – even when space is tight.

The miniature lead screw line is available with either standard or anti-backlash lead nuts to optimize positional accuracy, friction and repeatability. The anti-backlash lead nut design reduces friction between the nut and screw threads in order to optimize efficiency while still eliminating play between the lead screw and nut.

The swivel feet with a steel double bolt down base includes two screw holes enabling secure surface attachment. The threaded female design accepts inserts from M6 up to M16 while the foot diameter varies from 40mm to 100mm. The swivel joint allows 50° forward and backwards tilt across a 360° horizontal plane, providing flexible installation whatever the floor angle. This design is manufactured in durable steel with a nickel plating to resist corrosion and provide a bright finish.

DTect-IT is a versatile CNC sensor analysis system that takes in data from a multitude of high-precision sensors. The surface roughness measurement application uses the Blum-Novotest TC64 RG Digilog Probe as the sensor input in DTect-IT to analyze the surface of a part.

SolidMeister barrel endmills are efficient tools for complex 3D surfacing operations used in mold making, orthopedic implant work, and the machining of gas turbine blades and other freeform surfaces in the aerospace and energy industries. The endmills incorporate a cutting edge that is actually the segment of a large-diameter arc. Since the shape of the cutting edge resembles a barrel profile, the tool became known as barrel endmills, or in shop talk, simply as barrels.

Easily retrofitted, the PSS-T300 provides excellent access to the work area while offering space-savings via its tower design. SDM chipbreaker features unique T-land with variable widths and optimized rake angle that provide the insert with resistance against notch wear. Difficult metals like HRSAs are prone to cause notch wear on the insert cutting edge that can severely deteriorate insert tool life. A combination of SDM geometry and the AH8000 grade series will substantially extend tool life and provide superior predictability.

XPlanar now provides greater traceability through ID technology integrated into the mover bumper. The ID functionality enables unique identification of XPlanar movers by reading the mover’s individual serial number. The ID bumper is easy to mount or retrofit on movers already in the field, and it requires no additional hardware. This solution makes it possible to seamlessly track movers and the products they carry – even after system shutdown and restart. The bumper ID also eliminates the need for homing at system startup with appropriate programming.

KettleTag PLUS EZ is a proven solution that requires NO extra steps.  Fabricators and galvanizers can print this tag, attach it to their steel, and read the barcode on the tag after the steel has been galvanized.  The days of using laminators and cutting tags apart are over, which makes the identification process more efficient for our customers.

The machines’ strong and durable structures provide table lateral movement accuracy of 2.5 µm or better. The Z-axis guide system is restrained on four sides to maximize rigidity and reliability, and dual ball screws ensure stable feed motion. For precision holemaking applications, XY interpolation enables the J12/J16 machines to carry out high-precision contouring by utilizing an end mill instead of a boring tool, eliminating the need to manually adjust a boring tool to accurately finish the hole diameter avoiding bottlenecks. Pitch accuracy is within 5 µm even for large-pitch holes.
