ActiNav combines real-time autonomous motion control, collaborative robotics, vision and sensor systems in one easy to use, fast to deploy and cost-effective kit. The system requires no vision or robotic programming expertise, but is instead based on a “teach-by-demonstration” principle.

In the USA, Romi offers three models, the D 800, the D 1000, and the D 1250. All three are equipped with big-bore 40-taper direct drive spindles with speeds of 10,000 or 15,000 rpm. Direct drive is low maintenance and improves accuracy and repeatability, while the big-bore 40-taper increases stiffness and allows increased depth of cut during machining.

AH8015 consists of a nano-multilayered PVD coating with high aluminum content. The TungTurn-Jet system strategically directs the internal coolant jet exactly where it is needed, close to the cutting point on the insert rake face. Additionally, the other coolant jet is fed from the bottom to minimize flank wear for increased insert life and productivity.

The G4014-P groove turning holder makes it possible to change inserts in the machine – even where space is limited—in particular on long center lathes and multi-spindle machines. As a result, changing inserts is approximately 70% faster.

Tungaloy expands its TungCut series of grooving tools to include a parting blade CGP32-CHP with the ability to internally supply high-pressure coolant.

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced a newly designed rotary table springs force tester. The system is setup to test multiple springs in a single setup without the need for additional operator input as required when springs are tested one by one. The batch testing volume production approach saves time and significantly increases test throughput, while freeing up the operator to attend to other jobs.
