The S100 can be configured to meet each customer’s individual needs. It can be equipped with up to two internal grinding spindles, or one internal and one external spindle. In addition to a fixed wheelhead, it can be supplied with a manual wheelhead and a 2.5 degree Hirth coupling. The optimal combination consists of an automatic wheelhead with a 1 degree Hirth. A synchronous motor drives the grease-lubricated internal and external belt spindles. The machine is operated by the FANUC 0i-TF PLUS controller, together with the proven STUDER operating system.

The series is now introducing TCS18 and TCL18 inserts designed for left-hand cuts, expanding the product lines that, up to now, has offered right-hand inserts only. Grooving and parting tools commonly used in most of the operations performed in conventional CNC lathes and Swiss machines are right-handed. As highly advanced multitasking machines with multiple spindles and turrets are gaining popularity to maximize productivity, the needs for left-hand tools are increasing as well, which enable simultaneous machining on the right and left-hand spindles of such machines.

With HollowStream nozzles, the liquid is supplied into the body of the nozzle creating a swirling action within a vortex chamber. The 3859 Easy-Cut Xtreme Trimetal Bandsaw Blade cuts “easy to cut” materials and difficult materials with the same blade; there is no need to change blades. This saves time and money by reducing blade inventory, operator labor and machine downtime. The 3859 also boasts a much longer blade life than bimetal blades. Its enhanced durability also means the blade can cut faster when needed.

The consolidated range of enclosure parts includes a wide variety of locks, latches, and catches to suit all requirements. Both the 2900 and W2900 series are available in ½ “, 1”, 2” ranges and new 4” range models, inch-metric models in 1/2", 1", 2" (12 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm) and metric only models in 12 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm ranges.

Available in diameters of 800 mm and 1200 mm (custom sizes per application requirements), the Series 800 offers a maximum swing of 1100 mm and max weight of 1500 kg for the fixture plate and components. The Series 1200 features a maximum swing of 1700 mm and weight of 2000 kg. Both models feature an RPM of 0 to 3 and are available in voltages of 220, 240, 380 and 480.

DrillMeister drill sleeves are available in 16, 25, and 32 millimeters in diameters for metric sizes and 3/4 inches and one inch for imperial sizes that fit the drill holders of the same sizes equipped in Swiss lathes. All drill sleeves have a threaded connecting port on the sleeve end for easy coolant hose connection.

The DMH drill head features a fracture resistant design that is suitable for applications that involve drilling holes through thin-walled sections of workpieces. In normal circumstances, thin walls tend to spring back on the drill after the drill pierces through and exits the hole. In the process, uncut material shifts and forms exit burrs that impose extra burdens on the drill edge. These problems inflict damage on drill corners, shortening tool life. The DMH drill head’s geometry protects drill corners from fracture damage, providing extended tool life and reduced downtime.
