These WXN15 grade coated inserts are all introduced with a highly positive shaped geometry, which is particularly effective in machining ISO N materials. When used in advanced cutter bodies like the new Xtra·tec® XT M5468 button insert milling cutter, with G88 geometry, this also increases productivity when performing machining operations on deep shoulders with excellent chip removal.

A significant increase in marking speed and marking quality on previously insufficiently markable materials are the main benefits of FOBA’s green laser. Affected materials include special plastics like UHMWPE, HDPE or PMMA for which additives might no longer be necessary, as well as glass or shiny substrates. Compared to other laser types like UV or fiber, the green laser shows better marking results while achieving superior marking speeds.

The TurboBlast features a cast aluminum handle with a rugged elastomer grip that’s not only comfortable, but UV resistant, chemical resistant and insulated from heat or cold. Safe for use on ferrous alloys when used as directed, ULTRA-CLEAN US-159 may etch or stain aluminum and zinc alloys, therefore pretesting before use is recommended.  Dilutions from 2-10% by volume in water that is 120-160° are typically effective.  Heavier soils and/or ultrasonic applications may benefit from operating at higher temperatures up to 190°F.  Follow cleaning step with a thorough ambient-to-warm water rinse.

Column construction uses stress relieved, class 40 cast iron, with the base and sides milled flat, perpendicular, and parallel within .001"/ft. providing an accurate foundation on which to setup workholding devices or quick-change systems. What does this spec translate to for customer use? Other features include a center locating bore, inch, and metric hole patterns, M12 lifting holes for secure hoist ring attachment.

GN 742.5 Fluid/Fill Drain Plugs, GN 738.5 magnetic plugs and GN 7440 fluid sight glasses are made of AISI 316L (A4) stainless steel. Winco offers the premium sight glass in standard sizes from M16 to M42 and G⅜ to G1¼. Other thread diameters are available on request. Naturally, the same applies to the threaded plugs GN 742.5 and GN 738.5.

The 2700 Medium Duty hits the sweet spot between Dorner’s popular low profile 2200 and 3200 heavy duty platforms. While the 2200 conveyor can carry up to 80 pounds, and the 3200 conveyor can support up to 400 pounds, the 2700 Medium Duty is engineered to safely convey up to 150 pounds. This expanding portfolio of industrial conveyors give customers a full breadth of options to select the right platform for their specific application.

The machining improvements are achieved by a special cutting drill contour with an added rear contour configuration that acts like a guide pad while the drill remains in the bushing, keeping the tool on location.  Once the drill is in the cut, these guide pads continue to force the tool to cut a straight path for the remainder of operation.

The laser profilers project a laser line on the gear at a specific angle, collecting data to generate the entire Z-X profile through an image sensor placed behind the optical receiver. The gear is then quickly rotated 360° to collect data points from movement along the Y axis, which is combined with the Z-X profile to create a complete 3D reconstruction of the part, made possible through specific software algorithms. The system then executes the requested measurement and inspection tasks. Line operators can easily review images and navigate to the desired level of detail to identify any anomalies.

The TD 110 tool breakage sensor can be placed in the work envelope so that it is fast and easy to reach during the tool change. The inductive sensor can detect tools as they pass by while they are spinning at their operational speed.  Thanks to its rapid scanning technology, even very small tools made of HSS steel and carbide are detected.

CoroTurn Prime B-type inserts are available for external and internal turning in a range of high-performing grades, including the new steel turning grades GC4415 and GC4425. Programming support is available in the most common CAM platforms and with CoroPlus Tool Path for PrimeTurning.

Norton for Aluminum wheels have a range of features and benefits including a 5/8"- 11" hub for quick, tool-free wheel changes. Helping to keep metal surfaces clean for defect-free, corrosion-free welding, the new wheels have a contaminate-free bond which does not need any waxes or lubricants. Also, a double coarse layer construction adds versatility and life on applications such as back-grinding and notching. The system handles axial grooves from dia. 2.362-in (60 mm), cutting depths up to 1.299-in (33 mm), with insert width of 0.197-in (5 mm). The new system delivers maximum productivity and cutting parameters due to optimal cooling, strength and controlled chip breaking, along with high cost-efficiency due to two cutting edges. Axial grooving is effective when the groove depth is 1.5 times greater than the groove width, but to be successful axial grooving requires dedicated tooling and a dedicated chip control insert.
