Walter has introduced three new Walter Cut GX Tiger·tec Silver CVD grooving and parting grades—the WKP13S, WKP23S and WKP33S—for use on steel and cast-iron applications. These have been introduced in combination with Walter's geometries UD4, UA4, UF4, RD4 along with plunge grooving and parting geometries GD3 and CE4.

When manufacturing small components with a diameter of between 2 and 20 mm, the GRINDSTAR grinding machine from JUNKER offers an economical alternative to turning. From batch sizes of 200,000, short cycle times and a long workpiece service life can drive down costs per workpiece by up to 25 percent.

Sandvik Coromant has unveiled a new, high-feed version of the CoroMill 745 facemilling cutter, featuring a 25° entering angle for additional productivity gains when milling steel and cast iron workpieces.
