The GTS system enables cutting tools to be shared among multiple machines, minimizing redundancy and eliminating the need to reserve a cutting tool for a single machine. This generates cutting tool cost savings and minimizes operator interaction with  cutting tool changes, reducing labor expense and eliminating tooling loading errors. Cutting tool sharing also permits reduction in the size of machine tool magazines. When implementing the GTS system, its new modular design results in shorter delivery, installation, and commissioning times, as well as hardware cost advantages.

The compact outer dimensions of the Type RSX enable the realization of space-saving designs. It is available in a standard Type RSX-M and a Type RSX-WM with a longer overall LM block length, wider width and higher rated load and permissible moment than the Type RSX-M. The outer dimensions of the Type RSX-M range from 8mm to 16mm (H), 17mm to 32mm (W) and 23.4mm to 42.9mm (L). The outer dimensions of the Type RSX-WM range from 9mm to 16mm (H), 25mm to 60mm (W) and 31mm to 55.5mm (L).

In clamping tests, Carbinite has been shown to nearly double the gripping strength at equal clamping force.  Customers report increased grip and longer tool life.  Utilizing a process called Electro Spark Deposition (ESD), Carbinite can be added to hard or soft jaws after they are milled to customer requirements.  The wear resistant carbide alloys display exceptional bond strength without annealing or distortion.

The new Starrett AVX550 Multi-Sensor System features dual optical systems that work in tandem to measure a broad range of features. The primary zoom lens enables small intricate features to be inspected with high precision and resolution of up to 2 microns. A secondary large field-of-view camera is equipped with a telecentric lens that can simultaneously inspect large areas of a part, or an entire part itself. A broad range of zoom options also means that measurement configurations can be custom tailored to meet specific application requirements, and eliminates the need to change lenses or re-calibrate the system.

The PeopleCounter (PeCo) is a SensorApp developed by SICK that enables anonymous data processing and differentiation of people from objects over large detection areas. Based on the hardware of the MRS1000 3D LiDAR sensor, measurement data generates as a point cloud. The integrated PeopleCounter app reliably identifies people using their contours. This means it only counts people above the height of 1.4 meters, while objects are not counted.

Elysium has developed technology to complement any missing information in point-cloud data with InfiPoints’ advanced processing capabilities—such as feature extraction of pipes and planar surfaces and automatic registration. This functionality allows users to accurately combine and perform registration between UAV/MMS-scanned point clouds and point-cloud data captured from tripod 3D laser scanners. The results are that the scope of efficient modeling using InfiPoints has broadened significantly from past standards.

 These new grades complement Walter's previously released WBH10C coated CBN and WBH10 and WBH20 CBN grade ideal for high temperature stability in hard metal turning. These inserts also have the option of chip breaker (TM-M2) for trouble shooting and wiper (MW2) for exceptional surface finish or higher feed and productivity. Various standard ISO turning insert shapes with these new grades, such as C, D, S and T, are available in both positive and negative clearance geometries. Select grades WBS10 and WBH20 are also available as grooving inserts for aerospace alloys and hard steels respectively.
