Accure·tec adaptors are ideally suited for the Walter Xtra·Tec® XT milling cutter range. This makes the system highly versatile. For example, for components with deep cavities in aircraft construction and aerospace industry in general, as well as the automotive, energy, die/mold, and general metalworking industries. Users can benefit from both the vibration damping and a system with low noise levels. 

It is suitable for coating and repairing components up to 500 mm in size, for cylindrical components up to a meter long and for the near-net-shape production of semi-finished products. The AM Cube can be provided with up to 3 deposition heads with patented, hardwired energy, material and data supply. Max. workpiece dimensions are: 3-axis: 1,000 x 400 x 500 mm; 4-axis: Ø 300 x 1,000 mm; and 5-axis: Ø 500 x 500 mm.

Athena was initially launched by iTSpeeX, LLC in the spring of 2018. Since then, the voice assistant—who interacts with machine tool operators via a machine’s existing control screen or a separate display—has expanded to include over 500 commands designed to make machine operators more independent and more productive. She is able to listen to voice commands, provide instructional content, perform complex machine functions quickly and walk through vital checklists.

With an ultralow profile of 40 mm and extremely flat design, ZeroAct is ideal for any zero-point application especially those where the z-axis travel of the spindle is critical. The ZeroAct features rapid open and closing of the modules and simultaneous actuation with one simple twist of the wrist generating 15kN clamp force. Easily actuate workpieces onto a table or adapter with a low stack-up of 38.1 mm greatly increasing the z-axis travel.

The nodding head spindle and direct-drive B-axis rotary table allow the DHF 8000ST to handle a complete range of machining and turning processes from roughing to finishing in a single setup. This ability to attack parts from all sides provides increased parts accuracy. In addition, the configuration makes quick work of multi-face workpieces and the 5-axis simultaneous machining of complex shapes.

The FORTiS design is built upon industry-proven RESOLUTE™ encoder technology and provides high resistance to the ingress of liquids and solid debris contaminants. It features an extruded enclosure with longitudinally attached interlocking lip seals and sealed end caps. The readhead body is joined to a sealed optical unit by a blade, which travels through the lip seals along the length of the encoder.

JobShop Cell PRO features an industrial grade, articulating FANUC 6-axis robot in a versatile aluminum enclosure which allows the RoboDrill to be placed on the left or right side, or in a twin cell with two machines. In the twin cell, two side-by-side RoboDrill machines with a FANUC robot entering from the side of each machine gives operators full, open access to the front of the RoboDrills for tool changes, off-sets and maintenance.

The coupling bolts shared a lot of engineering characteristics of their High Torque retention knobs for V-Flange tooling. Given that JMPP currently manufactures and stocks over 400 different styles of retention knobs, the ‘coupling bolt challenge’ was a good fit and melded with their production processes nicely.

In most applications, the focus is on ensuring that no outside contaminants get into a mechanical system, while in controlled areas and clean room production. The revised PSK ensures that no material makes it outside into the mechanical system. The precision ball screw nut and linear carriage assembly are sealed from both sides with Rexroth ball screw assembly seals. This detail significantly reduces the risk of lubricants escaping outside.

The bodies are offered in either ScrewFit or shell mount and with two pitches for different applications.

With a smaller diameter, quick change discs provide ease of use on intricate parts and excellent control when shaping or blending surface portions, especially on flat surfaces.  Moderate flexibility of quick change discs and their holders allows contouring and access to inner corners.  These unique quick change functionality reduces changeover downtime and eases transitions between grit, material, or even abrasive type where multi-step processes are required.

The Starrett DataSure 4.0 System operates on the latest wireless networking technology that uses short-wave radio frequencies to interconnect cell phones, computers and wireless electronic devices, enabling much faster speed, greater bandwidth and longer range for higher data throughput. The range of DataSure 4.0 is ten to twenty times that of any data collection system on the market.

Because aluminum has a much lower melting temperature than other metals, keeping aluminum cool while grinding and finishing is a big challenge for welders and fabricators. The Blue-Kote disc cloth’s net structure resists clogging on soft materials, and its sanded surface stays cooler and avoids burning the work surface.

The Stiefelmayer laser is particularly well adapted to cutting precision shapes in thin substrates, including mild steel, stainless, copper and brass.  Motor laminations are a particular specialty and this fact matches the drive to EV in the American auto industry.

Consistent with the aims of Industry 4.0, the new Metrology Gate portal provides remote access to information on the status and performance of all connected metrology devices. Information available includes measurement results and a summary of errors, a record of program changes, uptime of the CMMs and OEE (overall equipment effectiveness). Historical logs assist troubleshooting and warn when routine maintenance is due, not only of the inspection machines but also of the machine tools or other equipment on which the components are being made.
