KT-500 Handheld Alloy Analyzer
The handheld Rigaku KT-500 LIBS analyzer strengthens the capabilities of LIBS technology and provides the user with better analysis of low alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel and cobalt alloys, and now carbon steels. Because of this, the KT-500 is the solution for addressing all the most common alloy grades used in metal fabrication. Additionally, its carbon analysis, along with low detection limits for other key elements, makes it ideal for determining carbon equivalence as well as solving many of the key applications required in petrochemical facilities including sulfidation, corrosion and residual elements. n
EL5072 EtherCAT Terminal
The integrated excitation source of the EL5072 provides a wide range of parameterizable excitation frequencies and voltages. Further special features include the automatically adapted measuring signal range, switchable input impedances for different probe types and one digital input per channel for setting and storing the position value (including timestamp). The measured value is determined with high precision by a 24-bit A/D conversion and output directly as a 32-bit position value that can be easily integrated into the control program.
Automation boosts shop’s productivity 41%
The sixth episode of this Cobotics Corner video series demonstrates the use of a Universal Robots UR5e arm with a Schunk three-finger gripper loading and unloading a Haas Automation SL-20 CNC machine. This automation solution reportedly helped increase productivity by 41%, according to Fusion OEM.
PLH3D-15W – World’s First Real 15 W Laser Head for Laser Engraving & Laser Cutting Applications
First Three-Laser-Diode Engraving Laser Head — The newest addition to our family of industrial cutting and engraving laser heads is arguably the most versatile engraving laser on the CNC market. Boasting a real 15 W of optical power as well as a novel design, this is the first compact CNC laser head that not only marks metal, but deep-engraves it.
10 ‘do’s’ for inventory control
For most manufacturers, inventory management plays a big role in how effectively they run their business. But when it comes to managing inventory, most manufacturers fall short. These 10 rules can help plan for better inventory control.nn
FB Geometry
The geometry is available as a standard tool for the 224, 229, S34T, 315, and 64T systems for precision machining of external grooves. For internal machining, it is available for the 105, 108, 111, 114, and 216 systems. Further insert types are available as special tools and can be delivered quickly via the Greenline system, whereby it is possible to deliver up to 50 customized inserts, depending on the design, within five working days after approval of the drawing by the customer.
LoadMate Plus
The robot cell provides flexible solutions for traditionally high-mix, low-volume facilities to introduce automation, and is designed with mobility and flexibility in mind. LoadMate Plus automates the task of loading and removing parts from a machine tool through the use of robotics, and can be mounted next to one machine, between two mach- ines, and otherwise moved around a facility as jobs require. When this cell is paired with Mitsubishi Electric M8 Series CNC, operators can use the Direct Robot Control (DRC) feature within the CNC controls to also control and program the robot with menus and G-code from the same screen used for the machine tool. No robot programming experience or teach pendant is required, allowing manufacturers to use existing staff to automate and make adjustments.
Sanicro 825
A high-strength alloy with minimum 40% nickel content, Sanicro 825 has excellent corrosion resistance to acids and alkalis, superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and good corrosion resistance to phosphoric, nitric, sulfuric, and organic acids, seawater, caustic chloride alkalis and ammoniac media.
EJ Counters and LG100 Series Linear Gages
High-speed and compact, delivering production site visualization, improved productivity, and information feedback. Up to 8 compact EJ Counters can be linked providing the capacity to connect to 16 gages. On a DIN rail, each unit can be connected directly without using cables to maximize space. All linked units and gages can be driven by a single power source.
Cross Spirit Levels GN 2276 and Screw-on Spirit Levels GN 2283
It is hardly possible to do without these small tools for adjustment when striving for perfectly horizontal alignment of machines, mechanisms or instruments. And even after the initial setup, spirit levels still come in handy during regular operation to show whether the positioning is still correct. Spirit levels can be used almost anywhere. In addition to needing no power supply or data lines, they are robust, simple to adjust and can be added at any time. Winco has now expanded its existing selection of bull's eye and screw-on spirit levels with two new models – both as practical as ever.
TwinCAT Vision and TwinCAT HMI Control
Integrating this new control for the TwinCAT Vision toolbox directly into TwinCAT HMI increases engineering efficiency even further; users no longer have to create and code these capabilities themselves. The new TwinCAT image control makes these capabilities fully available and efficient by incorporating a large number of separate controls and extensive JavaScript programming.
