Merlin Plus Standalone Software
Merlin Plus software offers multiple measurement and statistical displays with numeric and graphic layout, trend limits, data traceability, batch management, part counters, and data storage; exporting in CSV or Q-DAS format. It can handle up to 250 different measurements, 1,000 different part programs and offers connection to several type of devices with built-in drivers.
130mm Double-Acting Hydraulic Vise
Jergens' 130mm hydraulic vise offers users the ability to position the jaws just outside of the dimension of the workpiece to minimize travel when clamping. This, in combination with the speed of hydraulic workholding, reduces clamping and unclamping operations to about one second. The ease of use of these double-acting vises allows users to repeat these time-saving operations, adding up to measurable machine uptime and productivity increases, especially for high mix, low volume manufacturers.

ECM 2400 Encoder
The ECM 2400 encoders are available with EnDat 2.2 interface. In conjunction with a safe control, they can be used as single-encoder systems in applications with control category SIL 2 (as per EN 61508) and with Performance Level "d" (as per EN ISO 13849). The fault exclusion that is implemented in its design has been tested and is ensured under the specified operating conditions.
ScanGrid2 Safe Multibeam Scanner
The scanGrid2 safely detects objects of a variety of sizes within the freely configurable protective field zones, can evaluate multiple fields, and can execute configurable monitoring cases. A warning field zone extending up to four meters beyond the safe working range can be employed for non-safety actions.
1-3/8″ PMIN Power Series Field Wireable Connectors
Mencom's new field wireable connectors are UL listed and provide IP69 protection. They are available in 3-pole and 4-pole with straight and right-angle orientations. Mencom is the industry's first electrical connector manufacturer to design and produce a right-angled version of the 1 3/8" field wireable connector. The right-angle profile is lower than the typical bend radius needed to mount a straight cable, providing a big advantage when installation space is limited. Also, it removes undesirable cable strain caused by bending cables to fit in tight spaces.
Automate deburring and finishing operations
Deburring and finishing are still predominantly manual processes for many manufacturers and job shops. However, the results can be inefficient and inconsistent. Automating these processes can solve these problems.

Walter inks joint venture with Vargus in Romania
Walter AG in Tübingen, Germany, and Vargus Ltd., headquartered in Nahariya, Israel, have established a joint venture named VWR Cutting Tools S.R.L. The new company will serve the European and U.S. markets.

Hurco establishes apprenticeship program
Hurco North America launched a new 2-year apprenticeship program. The Field Service Apprenticeship (FSA) program starts with a 12-week industry training that merges hands-on training and repair of CNC machines with classroom materials.
KR C5 Micro Robot Controller
With an overall volume of only 16 liters and weighing just 9 kg, the KR C5 micro, allows users to mount the controller horizontally or vertically in a wall mounted/bookshelf orientation or stack multiple units on top of each other, or with an existing standard 19" rack mount cabinet. Optional mounting brackets for controller fastening allow the new controller to adapt to existing industry standard rack mount rails for having multiple robot controllers within a single cabinet. Plus, with a lighter, more compact design, the KR C5 micro is easy to deliver/ship, set up and relocate if needed.
