4D InSpec Surface Gauge
4D Technology today announced the 4D InSpec Surface Gauge, a handheld, noncontact instrument that measures precision machined surface defects and features with micrometer-level resolution. The 4D InSpec employs 4D's patented technology, which enables rapid measurements that are unaffected by vibration present in most manufacturing environments.
Laser Line Generator
A new series of laser line generators from Coherent Inc. enables the detection of smaller features in machine vision applications based on triangulation. Specifically, StingRay µFocus (Micro Focus) lasers feature a linewidth that is 40 percent smaller than standard Coherent StingRay products (at the same working distance), and can achieve focused linewidths as small as 20 µm, thus providing increased spatial resolution and the ability to discern finer details.
FlowXpert 2016 CAD/CAM Waterjet Software Platform
Flow International Corp. announced the next generation of waterjet software, FlowXpert 2016. FlowXpert is a robust CAD/CAM waterjet software platform for 3D pathing and cutting that allow users to work more effectively in 3D, with less complexity.
Wireless 5-axis Trunnions
KME CNC announced that it has surpassed the company's wireless 5-axis tombstones with its new wireless 5-axis trunnions. KME CNC designs and manufactures American-made 5-axis systems that transforms current 3-axis and 4-axis machines to 5-axis production on virtually any machining centers.
CB7105 and CB7115 Insert Grades
To help manufacturers enjoy benefits such as reduced cycle times and greater tool life when performing hard part turning, Sandvik Coromant has strengthened its existing offer in the ISO H05 to H15 application area with the introduction of two new grades: CB7105 and CB7115.
Version 19.08 of Expert CADCAM and Nesting Software
JETCAM announced the launch of version 19.08 of its Expert CADCAM and nesting software, featuring several major new features, interface enhancements across the software along with several new and updated postprocessors. Significant improvements and configuration options have been added to JETCAM's Right Angle Shear (RAS) logic, resulting in higher quality parts when repositions are required.
