MA-12500HW Horizontal Machining Center
The hallmark of the MA-12500HW from Okuma America Corp. MA-12500HW is its ability to provide a good balance of speed and cutting power for machining difficult-to-machine materials, cast iron and aluminum alloys. This makes it well suited for large part aerospace machining. The W-axis allows for a longer tool stroke to machine complex, difficult to reach part features.
TNX65/42 Turn-Mill Machine
Designed to machine complex parts from bar diameters to 65 mm (2.559 inch) and a length of up to 300 mm (11.811 inch), the TNX65/42 delivers piece costs that are globally competitive. The basis for this productivity is two identical main and counter spindles and four turrets, each capable of holding 10 live or fixed quick change VDI tools.
Bunting Magnetics selects new territory manager
Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, Kan., named Wendy Doll territory manager for Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and portions of California and Nevada. The company makes magnetic separation and material handling equipment.
EMAG’s laser lab gears up
Farmington Hills, Mich.-based EMAG LLC held an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony June 8 to celebrate the opening of its new laser welding laboratory. The facility features equipment and a staff of experts to enable automotive supply-chain companies to better fabricate differential gears, camshafts and other components using laser welding technology.
PhotoCam SpeederV2 High-Speed Camera System
Photron Inc. introduces the PhotoCam SpeederV2. The portable, standalone high-speed camera system is specially designed for production fault-finding. Intuitive and easy to use, the camera system allows workers to quickly view and identify production errors on the integrated 7-inch LCD remote touch screen, without the need for a computer or network infrastructure.
BXA20 Coated PCBN Grade
Tungaloy Corp. is launching the BXA20 series, a new coated PCBN grade for machining hardened steel. BXA20 delivers predictable and long tool life in a range of applications from roughing to finishing, including descaling of case hardened steel, which usually requires a large stock to be removed.
