GARANT VG Basic
On the new GARANT VG Basic pre-setting device, both the X and Z axes can be moved by up to 400 millimeters using a pneumatic quick adjustment device. This requires a compressed air supply of at least 73 psi. When an additional fine adjustment is made, the two axes can be positioned accurately enough that the exact tool dimensions can be determined using the robust measuring system and the high-performance CMOS color camera with 17x magnification.
Sheenus ZERO Ultrasonic Polisher
For operator control and comfort, the Sheenus ZERO provides variable amplitude between 19 - 29 kHz per second and produces minimal hand vibration. Conveniently portable and easy to maneuver, the Sheenus ZERO controller weighs just 3 lb 5 oz, or 29% less than NSK's previous ultrasonic polisher. The resin body handpiece, lightweight and ergonomically designed, enables effortless, precision work over long periods of time.
Line of Die Protection Sensors
A line of new generation sensors for protecting stamping and forming press dies. The new line includes broader-range proximity sensors, short and long range diffuse reflective sensors, a distance-settable optical triangulation sensor and an ultra-long infrared through-beam sensor. n
The best ‘little’ job shop in Texas
The Bell Helicopter Drive Systems Center (DSC) in Arlington, Texas, can never be confused with anything "little." It's a huge facility, filled with the latest milling, drilling, and boring technologies. In fact, some newly installed equipment is making some of the company's biggest components in its history.
Smaller tool companies can automate like the big boys
Industrial automation is changing the way cutting tool manufacturers operate. Machines can take on the heavy lifting at each stage of production letting workers get on with less repetitive tasks. And while automation may sound costly and complex to implement, it's not reserved just for big business.
KCFM 45 Face Milling Cutter
With fixed and adjustable pocket seats, the new milling cutter provides the option for semi-finishing as well as fine-finishing applications, exceeding the highest surface quality requirements. With carbide, ceramic and PcBN inserts, this new tool is a flexible, cost-effective and user-friendly solution that is ideal for any type of CNC machining center.
Heavy Duty Threaded Line Vac Conveyors
Heavy Duty Threaded Line Vac conveyors eject a small amount of compressed air through directed nozzles to produce a vacuum on one end with high output flows on the other. Response is instantaneous. The conveying rate is easily controlled using a pressure regulator on the compressed air supply. n
Verisurf 2020 Software
Verisurf 2020 is the latest release of the popular measurement software for automated quality inspection and reporting, 3D scanning and reverse engineering, tool building and assembly guidance. Enhancements in the 2020 release include an array of reverse engineering tools with new Quick Surface modeling option, expanded device support to keep up with emerging measurement and data capture technologies, added productivity features, based on ongoing customer feedback, and many features designed to support efficient measurement workflows.
Laser micromachining’s expanding capabilities
Laser technology was developed in the mid-20th century, and over the decades has emerged as a leading processing method for a broad range of applications. One of the newest uses is for high precision laser micromachining.
Ready-to-Connect 7th Axis
Robots insert workpieces into a milling machine, dispense chocolate bars from vending machines and place crates on pallets, which are then stacked. But how can they move vertically, horizontally or overhead in a flexible manner? The answer is a 7th axis. Specifically, for linear adjustment, igus has developed a lubrication-free, lightweight flat axis with a stroke of up to 6m and a positioning accuracy of 0.5mm with the help of its drylin linear construction kit. n
E-Tec 509 – Water Displacing Oil
E -Tec 509 meets military specs and competes with other finishes because of higher corrosion protection, 168 hours, and low application costs.
Efficient treatment for wastewater compliance
The metal machining, fabrciation and finishing industries must meet EPA and local wastewater requirements for effluent. Under the Clean Water Act, the EPA has identified 65 pollutants and classes of pollutants as "toxic pollutants," of which 126 specific substances have been designated "priority" toxic pollutants. Failing to meet these requirements can result in severe fines that quickly escalate.
