Machine and tooling developed collaboratively
The larger the series of parts to be produced, the more important cycle times and tool costs are. Designing machinery and tooling through a collaborative design process reduces cycle times and tooling costs, while improving part quality.
RS-40 Rotary Stage and M-111 Linear Stages
With 360 degree rotation range and 20N load capacity, the RS-40 V7 stage boasts high angular velocity of 20°/sec and minimum incremental motion and repeatability of 87 µrad. The 110, M-111 and M-112 vacuum linear stage series provide travel ranges of 5, 15 and 25mm and are suitable for vacuum up to 10-6 hPa.
Digital Twin Technology for CNC Machine Tools
For automation products such as machine tools, a digital twin is a virtual model that uses simulation, real-time data acquisition/analysis and machine learning techniques to allow full evaluation of a machine's dynamic performance before constructing a physical prototype. The same technology can also be employed for customer presentations, virtual commissioning and operator training purposes – and all well before the actual machine itself has even been built.
New DeepTri-Drill drilling depth capabilities
DeepTri-Drill is designed to provide productivity and application security for drilling deep holes on standard machining centers and CNC boring machines, while ensuring easy tool management by eliminating the need for regrinding. The insert features chip splitters that allows effective chip evacuations enabling extremely high feed rates during deep hole drilling in various materials.
CorShield® VpCI-146 Paper
The paper offers effective protection to ferrous and nonferrous metals, eliminating the need to stock a variety of papers for different metal types. All that is needed is to wrap items in the paper and fold the edges together, using adhesive tape as needed to hold paper in place. The VpCI® coating on the paper vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces within the package to provide complete corrosion protection with a very thin, very effective VpCI® layer that does not alter product appearance or require removal before further finishing or use. Effective protection is available on both sides of the paper to eliminate packaging guesswork.
No. 1052 1250°F (667°C) inert Atmosphere Oven
This Grieve inert atmosphere oven features 12" insulated walls, all interior seams welded gas-tight, an air jacket on the inner oven for cooling, 16" high integral oven stand, 16-gauge 304 stainless steel interior and enamel-painted aluminized steel exterior. The oven is reinforced for 2000 lb. loads, allowing the customer's part rack to sit on the oven work space floor.
AX8000 Multi-axis Servo System with Oversampling Technology
With the highly dynamic, EtherCAT-based AX8000 servo system, new setpoint values can transfer every 62.5 μs from the motion controller in the Industrial PC to the servo drive, along with μs motor current scans. Comparable control systems usually operate with a cycle time of only 1 ms. Now the AX8000 firmware also supports oversampling technology, which is well known from Beckhoff EtherCAT I/O devices. This feature enables multiple samples of process data within a communication cycle with an oversampling factor of up to 128 and the transfer of all data in an array via EtherCAT.
Automatic Wheel Dresser
Glebar's automatic dresser is available with manual or motorized quill advancement. With motorized quill advancement, it is possible to have a canned dress cycle. Operators can preprogram the frequency of the dress to run after a set number of cycles or time. This allows them to run multiple machines at once increasing their efficiency.
OMNIedge System
The OMNIedge network sets up automatically and sensors are simply installed on existing components for convenient and easy remote monitoring of operating conditions. Data is securely collected through a dedicated closed IoT networkfor analysis and to provide alerts. By monitoring and predicting damage and lubrication status, the OMNIedge prevents production delays caused by unexpected machine downtime and enables inventory management. n
