Fusion 360 Adaptive Roughing Strategy
Using a Tormach 1100 CNC mill, ProvenCut demonstrates Recipe 502, a Fusion 360 adaptive roughing strategy run at 12.2 m/min. (40 sfm) and 0.033 mm/tooth (0.0013 ipt) with a 15.875 mm (0.625") axial DOC (ap) and 0.508 mm (0.02") radial DOC (ae). The demonstration shows a standard four-flute carbide endmill machining 8620 alloy steel hardened to 55 HRC.

Rotary Table Springs Force Tester
The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced a newly designed rotary table springs force tester. The system is setup to test multiple springs in a single setup without the need for additional operator input as required when springs are tested one by one. The batch testing volume production approach saves time and significantly increases test throughput, while freeing up the operator to attend to other jobs.

PG-9BHD Centerless Form Grinder
Glebar Co. delivered a solution for grinding deodorant balls while reducing cycle times and improving throughput. Glebar developed ball grinding for the golf ball industry in the 1960s using centerless grinding fundamentals. The process was adapted to grind deodorant balls and other spherical or cylindrically shaped components. Glebar machines can grind most hard-to-turn materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass and polypropylene.
Aeroel MecLab.X Laser Micrometer
Marposs has announced the availability of its Aeroel MecLab.X laser micrometer systems, providing ultrahigh accuracy diameter measurements for components such as electric motor shafts, gage or piston pins, hydraulic components or any number of ground or turned parts. The benchtop Meclab.X systems require no PC, making them highly suitable for the workshop environment and for most common applications.

Materialise Group spin-off RapidFit has deployed a horizontal-arm coordinate measuring machine manufactured by LK Metrology in Derbyshire, U.K., to check the accuracy of bespoke gaging and holding fixtures produced for the automotive industry.
