OSHA Issues Rule to Protect Workers from Beryllium Exposure
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued a final rule to prevent chronic beryllium disease and lung cancer in U.S. workers by limiting their exposure to beryllium and beryllium compounds. The rule contains standards for general industry, construction and shipyards.
Customized RPM Gage
The MarSolutions team at Mahr Federal has developed a customized rpm gage for the dynamic measurement of cylindrical parts such as commutator shafts, turbocharger turbine shafts and other precision shafts in electric motors. The gage incorporates precision Vees and adjustable end-stops to support the shaft and define its axial position, and a motion belt to rotate the shaft at up to 20 rpm.
Junction Blocks
Mencom Junction Blocks offer a range of circuit configurations in 7/8-16 MINI series, M12 & ½-20 Micro series, M8 Nano series and DeviceNet series. They feature a homerun connector (cable, cable with connector, receptacle or field wireable), which easily routes signals from multiple inputs back to the main control system.

Innovative Products of America (IPA) announces the #8150 4.5" diamond grinding wheel. The disc's innovative, 3D contour with topside abrasive coating and thin-profile edge allows for cutting, back cutting, gully cutting and bead finishing with one wheel.
Tube Expanders
A full line of tube expanders offered with universal pivoting extensions that easily attach to torque controlled rolling motors for hard to reach tube sheet is being introduced by Esco Tool. Esco Millhog rolling motors and tube xxpanders are air-powered and feature a torque control setting which stalls the tool when it reaches the desired tube expansion to create a uniform and tight mechanical seal.

Allied Machine & Engineering announces the launch of the Wohlhaupter Tool-Architect software. Tool-Architect is a configurator for modular system tools that allows customers to virtually build customized tools online using Wohlhaupter parts, now part of Allied's solutions for holemaking and finishing challenges.

Modular Fixturing System
Bluco Corp.'s modular fixturing system is for fixturing low-volume/high-mix work. Using an alternating pattern of dowel and tapped holes, fixture plates are accurate to +/- 0.0004" between centers.

Kyocera's new Vulcan compression endmills are for routing composites. The Vulcan compression endmill is designed with up-cut and down-cut flutes to compress the composite material, preventing delamination.
