D:PLOY Automated, Application-Centered Software
D:PLOY demonstrates how the entire application, including any leading cobot or light industrial robot arm along with tooling, sensors, and other devices, is accessed and managed from D:PLOY's dashboard. Users simply define the robot's workspace with minimal inputs on points within the workspace, and enter attributes of the workpiece. D:PLOY automatically generates all the program logic, signal exchange, event handling, path planning, and real-time monitoring for the full application.
BOLT Eye and Face Protection
BOLT™ Eye Visors are designed to provide users with the best fit and easy headlamp use. BOLT™ Full Face Shields are designed for long-lasting visibility, featuring an ANSI Z87.1+ rating, a fog-free interior coating, and an anti-scratch exterior hard coating for an extended lifetime. Constructed with a highly durable stainless steel, the BOLT™ Mesh Full Face Shield protects users from debris in chipping and cutting applications and provides maximum durability. BOLT™ REDLITHIUM™ USB Headlamp is fully compatible with all BOLT™ accessories, this is the dedicated lighting solution for Milwaukee hard hats and helmets.
Filtration systems key to overall machining and grinding efficiency
As shown at AMB this month, state-of-the-art grinding, measuring and coating technology used to grind precision tools with high accuracy requires that tool manufacturers be technically up to date and optimally coordinate all parameters involved.
RV24 Robotic Gripper
The compact Kurt RV24 Gripper comes standard with integrated electronics featuring sensors that ensure fingers and parts are in place and ready for production. High-strength aluminum alloy keeps gripper weight to a minimum while a hard-coat finish reduces wear and increases life in the field. New gripper size allows for smaller part handling, lighter minimum clamping force and easier storage where space is a premium. The RV24 is designed to work with a range of robotic applications and can perform well on cobots or smaller robots.
Mastercam’s Manufacturing Day celebration welcomes students
CNC Software hosts a Manufacturing Day event Oct. 7.
No Cable Technology (NCT)
The modular XTS solution has been expanded with NCT to include a special motor module as well as electronics that mount on the movers. The hardware required for the transmission technology is fully integrated into the motor module, so the system does not sacrifice any existing functionality or expand equipment footprint. No additional connections or supply lines are needed. The control of the hardware on the mover is fully implemented in standard TwinCAT software. All known TwinCAT functionalities are available for simple project implementation.
Filter technology perfectly cleans oils
As shown at IMTS this month, only through the use of extremely clean grinding oils can high-quality tools be ground economically and reliably against increasingly tight tolerance requirements.
MD173 Supreme, MD177 Supreme
The MD173 Supreme is a roughing cutter designed specifically for dynamic milling and for reducing machining time. Its cutting edges equipped with chip breakers enable excellent chip breaking, permitting superior process reliability with high metal removal rates, a plus for users with automated production processes. The MD177 Supreme is a finishing cutter that creates very smooth surfaces without "waterlines."
MX7 ULTRA
To increase the stiffness of the C-axis, the MX7 ULTRA combines developments to the nanometer or micro degree resolution in the linear and rotary axis, tuning parameters, several system enhancements, and major mechanical changes.
ACU-RITE Adapter
The PCBA was developed to allow ACU-RITE controls users to define and order a TNC 320 for small machine tool applications (i.e., VMC with tool changer) as a simple upgrade. This new system includes the PCBA adapter, a TNC 320 control and a complete AC package (motors, drives and electrical cabinet).
Greenleaf-360 solid-carbide endmills
The unique PVD coating that is standard on all Greenleaf-360 end mills provides added productivity and performance. The coating offers a very low coefficient of friction with an extremely high service temperature range. This combination results in high wear resistance and allows for higher speed capabilities, especially in heat-resistant alloys.
3D-printed metal parts go hypersonic
Purdue researchers use AM injector components from Velo3D to create Mach 6 conditions for a ground-testing facility.
