With the ability to rapidly dial in runout with complete control, users spend less time tapping on the side of the tool and resetting tools and collets. Overall efficiency is increased, machining costs are lowered, and scrap is reduced with easyZERO.

Because of its tool size capability, the PG48 holders require the use of a brand-new press-fit assembly unit called the PGS 48. The PGS 48 is an automatic hydraulic press that generates up to 15 tons of force to press and remove collets from the holders and is a single-series machine designed only for PG48.

FISCHER USA Inc. has expanded its repair services and exchange programs to include third-party spindle brands in the North American market.

The MMC collet chuck is precision ground and pre-balanced to 30,000 RPM at G2.5 with runout accuracy of 3 microns at 4 times the diameter – ensuring accuracy and reliability during high-speed operations.

The round shank toolholders are designed to fit the cylindrical shank tool holders in most Swiss type lathes. Just as with the existing ModuMiniTurn square shank toolholders, the new round shank toolholders also features extremely high repeatability accuracy, which significantly reduces downtime.

The TungHeavyGroove toolholders utilize a frontal coolant system, delivering high-pressure cutting fluid from the bottom to the flank face of the cutting edge. Rineck offers standard and custom shrink fit tool holders with various connections including CAT, HSK, BT, SK, PSC and straight shank extensions. In addition, ER shrink fit collets are available. For added rigidity, flange or dual contact holders are available for CAT and BT tapers.  A clamping range from 3 mm to 32 mm is possible for both slim and standard styles. All tools are available in inch and metric sizes.

The recently launched tools, toolholders and chipbreakers move manufacturers toward better results easier, more quickly and with cost savings. The holders accept CCGT3xx, DCGT3xx and VCGT2xx indexable inserts and provide a high level of indexing accuracy even when turning parts with tight tolerance specifications. The short head dimension enables short clamping and high stability. The shank dimensions are 12 mm × 12 mm and 16 mm × 16 mm.

As precisely defined per ISO 26623, the Polygon Shank Coupling (PSC) interface features a unique tapered polygon which serves as a main element in torque transmitting, centering, and clamping. With double contact on both face and taper, as well as great cross-sectional strength, this interface is unrivaled in terms of high clamping force and bending stiffness.

Introduced in early July, the REGO-FIX standardized MQL PG collets are designed for tool shanks according to DIN 69090-3 and available for HSK-A 63 and HSK-E 40 toolholders. They are designed for machines using one-channel, internal through-spindle MQL systems and are beneficial for virtually any machining application.

The BIG CAPTO C3 square holders for turning applications come in left and right orientation. The turning application holders—C3-180-BH16R-2058 and C3-180-BH16L-2058—are mono-block holders. Their insert clamps are tough and reliable, adding on to the already inherently high rigidity of mono-block holders. The resulting higher rigidity minimizes vibrations and movement during cutting, improving accuracy and efficiency.

The FHN Series method compensates for small offsets, including tilt, between the center axis of the tool and the pilot hole. By correcting the offset that occurs when attaching and detaching tools with the holder, it is now possible to achieve higher precision machining.

Diebold JetSleeve 2.0 technology offers a unique coolant supply system that is unmatched by any other tool holder product. The JetSleeve 2.0 patented design not only delivers coolant to the cutting edges of your cutting tools, but it also it accelerates the coolant multiple times over the “normal” machine coolant pressure to blast the chips/swarf away for the machined surfaces to eliminate recutting of chips that leads to shorter tool life and prevents smooth machined surfaces.

The aluminium collars are much easier to machine compared to steel. This more readily enables customization, a requirement if the collar needs to fit specific shaft designs or dimensions, either for retrofit or new machine builds. Along with this capability, aluminium shares a similar anti-corrosion performance to stainless steel, ensuring increased durability.

To avoid interference with workpiece contours, the lengths of DirectCooling Series holders are ideally matched to one another and offer optimal stability and unlimited flexibility. This flexibility is further enhanced with an HSK-T universal standard interface for turning tools that ensures straightforward connection to multifunction machines such as turning/milling centers and milling/turning centers.

The sliding locks are particularly ideal for clamping in tight areas with non-swiveling handles. The body is made from nickel-plated 1045 steel. The handle is made from nickel-plated 4140 alloy steel, quenched and tempered. The push bar is made from 1045 steel.

Users can machine this collet attachment to adapt it to match the internal contour of the workpiece they are clamping. However, what makes this new exhibit from AMF so special is that no through holes are needed in the workpiece to achieve safe internal clamping. With mechanical lateral actuation, workpieces with a blind hole can also be clamped securely and without distortion.

Also known as set collars, shaft collars are used to clamp and position components to a shaft, such as tools, fittings, or machinery and transmission including bearings, gearboxes and motors. WDS’ new inch-size shaft-collars are based on the company’s original metric design but with dimensions to suit OEMs and end users based in North America, as well as machine builders shipping to the North American market.

Parlec BMT65 tool holders are available in I.D. styles for 1”, 1-1/2” 25mm, and 40mm tool diameters for single-sided holders and in 1-1/4” for double-sided holders. O.D. style holders are available in 1” and 25mm for both single and double-sided setups.

The 3D edge finder provides fast and precise probing of reference edges, setting of the zero point and measuring with repeat accu­racy of ≤ 0.01 mm.

With its ergonomic slim outer profile for easy and comfortable actuation, the TENDO Platinum V2 is specifically designed for direct clamping the tool. Imbalance correction goes unnoticed and is carefully designed into the body profile. Constructed of durable hardened tool steel, the V2 improves stability, stiffness, and clamping force to give you a toolholder with longer sustained accuracy throughout its life.

The Model SDF57 assembly has an outside diameter of 2.83" and allows users of 3" face mills to access up to 19.68" of reach, the longest tool assembly in the industry using standard components. TungBore-Mini is a multifunctional drilling and turning tool line that integrates the capabilities of drilling, OD, and ID turning tools. Its unique XOMU insert features an innovative geometry incorporating a large inclination angle on the cutting edge that produces light cutting, compared with standard ISO positive turning inserts that are typically used for ID turning or boring operations. In addition, TungBore-Mini’s insert and pocket have a dovetail interlocking design providing better insert clamping and stability than standard screw-down insert clamping, ensuring process security during various applications.

The ANGLED ROUND TOOLHOLDERS position the insert at 30°, 45° or 60° angles for reliefs, undercuts and angled OD and face grooves.  Round shank sizes are available in diameters of 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 1”, 20 mm and 25 mm. The ANGLED ROUND TOOLHOLDERS are for use with THINBIT® inserts in grades for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.  

The Series 22 combines both high-speed and high-precision processing for complete production of even large high-precision components. Featuring two workpiece-changing table variants, part capacities are generous - the 4-axis trunnion plate version handles 680 mm x 1,330 mm dia., up to 600 kg; and the twin-spindle 5-axis version handles 2 x 599 mm x 340 mm dia., up to 150 kg.

The Greenleaf Quick-Change Toolholders conform to ISO 26623, utilize standard components, and are designed to maximize tool life in carbide and ceramic turning applications.

Easily adaptable to the spindle of existing CNC machines, the SpinJet provides instant enhancements in machining performance using small diameter cutting tools. No additional machine purchase or modifications are required: the SpinJet utilizes the machine’s existing through-spindle coolant supply as a pressurized power source to drive the internal turbine for cutting tool rotation, eliminating the cost and nuisances of external air or electric power supplies. This feature gives the SpinJet a compact and smart design, allowing it to be stored in a machine’s ATC or tool magazine when it is not being used and installed on the main spindle as with any other standard tool.

The iSpeed5 is a 60,000 or 80,000 RPM, 350 Watt, Brushless DC Electric System that eliminates the need for any operator intervention by using a special designed connection under that machine spindle that can prevent coolant, chips, dust and other machining debris from contaminating the stop block.  No longer is there a need for operator intervention to connect or disconnect the High-Speed Motor/Spindle.

The expanded range of ANSI tap collets is fully compatible with existing powRgrip holders and only require shanks with tolerances of h9 or better. Manufactured with an internal square, these collets are specifically designed for use on CNC machines with synchronized machine spindle speeds and feed rates.

The new set of packages allows manufacturers to get started with powRgrip as quickly as possible for their particular toolholding needs. Packages includes a PGC-A handpump clamping unit, five toolholders and 10 PG collets. By placing high-pressure coolant directly in the cutting zone, JETI technology ensures superior chip and temperature control. For further process optimization, holders equipped with Jetstream Tooling Duo feature a second coolant outlet from the clearance side that can be turned on or off depending on part-processing requirements.

To optimize part transfer, independent right spindle guideways on lower turrets minimize the distance between the spindles at 11.8” (300 mm). For highest processing flexibility, a single or twin lower turret design is offered with overlapping travels and Y-Axis box guideways are standard. The new multitasking machining center provides up to 168 tool stations.

The GD8 geometry has been specifically developed for grooving along the shoulders and grooving of large diameters without interference of the insert with the finished workpiece. The VG8 geometry has been developed for finishing operations behind a collar.

The pistol grip changing fixture is easiest way to change MicroCentric collets. Simply insert the pins onto the front face of the collet and squeeze the handle. A locking mechanism in the handle keeps the fixture collapsed while installing and removing the collet.

Applications for Swiss auto lathes are known for their unique machining requirements for extremely long, thin, small parts with great precision and accuracy and, therefore, require very specific tooling.

The induction shrinking station line-up from Pokolm Frästechnik has been expanded with the fully automatic station TSI11000WKS. The coil and arbor of the new stand-alone station move fully automatically thanks to a pneumatic drive. The 50-litre coolant tank ensures fast cooling of both the arbor and the cooling medium.
